Manual Results Input

If you already have completed data collection and have your results already handy and just wish to enter them manually to the indicators within your DCT, you can do this through our Manual Results Input Forms.

First, Select your data collection tool from the drop down list at the top

Set your data collection method as “Manual Results Input“.

Under “Assign devices and publish forms” you will see the questionnaires available for you to use with Manual Results Input.

Use the button “Publish” and select the access level to generate form link.

Select “Show link”, and copy and paste it into your browser to open the input form, or share it with your colleagues.

There are three levels of access:

  • Public” can be accessed by anyone with the link.
  • Password protected” will require input of an password that Kinaki will generate.
  • Members Only” will require a member or admin of the project filling in the data to be logged in Kinaki.

Use the button “Start/Stop Collecting Data” at the top of the page to start/stop the data collection.

If you want to reset the link, or if you need to change the access type, click on “Unpublish” and then publish the form again.

Each time the method is published, it will generate a new link!

If your project uses multiple languages, each language version of the form will have its own link.

Designing Flow with Manual Results Input

For manual results input, the Designer page allows you to hide/show columns of the input table and change their order.

To change order, click on an item and drag it to the desired position.

To show or hide a column, click on the eye or crossed eye icons respectively.

Entering Results with Manual Results Input

Once a form has been published and available online, you can use the URL link to enter data into your Manual Results form.

Enter the URL into your browser to open the form. In the pop-up window, enter the name of your new dataset.

Each use of the form will create a new set of data for your review. To group or aggregate datasets, visit the Datasets section of the Knowledge Hub.

If Data Collection has not been started, you will If the data collection is stopped, users cannot fill in any data and they will see instead of the form a message “Data collection for this form is currently not available. Please contact the project Administrator.”.

If Data Collection has started, you will be able to answer a series of questions associated with the tool. These will be relevant the entries from the Questions page, and may have different formats.

Enter the total values for each question, and include any result details to describe the entry.

This may be useful to bring final values to Kinaki for comparison, without including a detailed upload.

Once you have entered the values, save your dataset by selecting “Save” at the bottom of the page.

Save the name of your dataset by selecting “Confirm“. You will receive a browser notification if the save was successful.

You will find this dataset on the Data Management page to review and submit for analysis.
